Android 13+ users: one-time setup step

After installing, Android will block this APK from becoming the default phone app (a built-in restriction for apps installed outside the Play Store). To unblock it:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Call Gateway
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu (top-right)
  3. Tap Allow restricted settings and confirm

If you don't do this, you'll see “App was denied access to be default Phone app” when the gateway tries to register itself.

Quick setup

  1. 1Install and launch the Windows desktop app — sign in with your agent email.
  2. 2Install the Android APK. On Android 13+, also enable Allow restricted settings (see the orange box above).
  3. 3Open the QR screen on desktop and scan it with the Android gateway app.
  4. 4Grant Phone, Microphone, and Notification permissions when prompted.
  5. 5Tap Start Gateway on Android — incoming calls will now route to your desktop.
